Web Developer Intern (Remote)

Join our web development team to help enhance and maintain NZQRI’s online research and recruitment platforms. You will work remotely with developers and designers to build responsive front-end interfaces and integrate them with PHP-based backends. You’ll participate in real project sprints, gain exposure to version control (Git), contribute to code reviews, and implement UI improvements to optimize accessibility and performance. You will also help design small reusable components and templates that power our educational and research portals.

Basic to intermediate knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3. Understanding of MySQL or relational databases. Familiarity with REST APIs and JSON handling. Good debugging and testing habits. Experience using Git or GitHub. Comfortable collaborating in remote teams using Slack, Trello, or similar tools. Bonus: Experience with Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS frameworks.
